During the course of a year, hundreds of checks pass through the hands of state chairmen and end up on my desk for deposit. Unfortunately, not every check that arrives can be deposited, simply because not all checks are made out to the Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania or GCFP. It doesn’t make any difference if your donation is going to Natural Disasters, USA/INT., to Penny Pines Reforestation, the Book of Recognition, the Scholarship Fund, Land Trust Alliance or a special project like the Walk-A-Thon for Habitat for Humanity, your check should be made out to GCFP.

Designate what the check is to be used for on the "For" or "Memo" line in the lower left corner of your check. Examples: Membership Dues, Book of Recognition Donation, GCFP Scholarship Fund Donation, Junior Gardener Registration, State Life Membership, Penny Pines, Junior Club Registration

Payments by check for items in the office and Junior Club Registrations should also be payable to GCFP.

Please do not make your check out to an individual State Chairman, a particular fund (e.g. Scholarship Fund) or to National Garden Clubs. Our financial institution does not look kindly on my feeble attempts to turn “NGC” into “GCFP”.
