Gardening Study School

For all gardeners with an interest in horticulture who have had little professional training, these courses are designed to:

  1. Stimulate interest in the growth of plant materials to their peak of perfection.
  2. Give an understanding of how and why a plant grows.
  3. Teach soil structure and methods for making soil more productive.
  4. Illustrate methods for rapid propagation of plants.

General Information

All lectures are open to the public for the stated fee. To be eligible to take the Gardening Study Courses for credit toward a National Garden Clubs, Inc., Gardening Consultant's Certificate, one must either be an active member of a State Garden Club or a non-member who, in good faith, expects to become a member of a State Garden Club in the near future. After taking the four courses, passing the examinations and complying with all requirements, the student will become a Nationally Accredited Gardening Consultant.
